Bonding with baby, connecting to the changing body while preparing for birth and beyond
Pregnancy is the most amazing time during a woman’s life journey, but the changes and uncertainty can be overwhelming for a new mother.
We live in a world of nucleus families, gone are the times of tribal wisdom and support. Women today have to compete and work in a male driven world, even while pregnant – which leaves little time to bond with the new life coming into hers, and taking the time to make peace with the changing body (you literally get abducted and your body is no longer your own). Hormonal changes on top of everything can make the most amazing and specail event, something to wish away.
With Preggie yoga, the new mommie will learn to settle down and breath and make friends with her new and ever changing body, while consciously taking time out to bond with baby. Studies have shown that women who bond with their bodies and baby during pregnancy have a smaller chance for Post Natal depression.
The pregnant lady will also learn new and valuable skills to cope with unsuspected physical, mental and emotional changes. Every system and every level gets prepared for childbirth – in which ever form the mother has chosen. Most importantly, acquired skills will most certainly help beyond birth during the first few months.
